If you begged your stylist for the “Rachel,” insisted your colorist add honey highlights and, more recently, have been wearing your hair long and straight a laJennifer Aniston, it’s time to book an appointment at the salon.
Yep, the actress has chopped off her hair. Spotted sporting a new chin-length A-line ‘do in Los Angeles Monday, Aniston tells Elle U.K. her short style, snipped by Chris McMillan, who has been cutting her hair for years, wasn’t created for a role.
“My hair went through a phase - I did this thing called a Brazilian and my hair did not react really well to it,” she tells the magazine. “It’s about 2-inches above my shoulders now.”
Aniston also tells PopSugar Beauty her long hair was "usually up in a scrunchie of some sort," adding that it’s at her “jawline and a little shorter in the back. It's just choppy, like a choppy bob, I guess you could say.... I was just ready for a change. I was ready for something new, to get it out of my face, so I could have a bit of an easier go at it." Aniston is the latest star to reveal a shorter style. Pamela Anderson, Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce and Miley Cyrus have all shown off pixies recently. But don’t expect Aniston to lop it all off.
“The minute I cut my hair I want it back,” she tells Elle U.K. “Always. It’s a guarantee. I’m trying really hard to love this one.”
Perhaps the onslaught of women sure to be racing to cut their own locks in hopes of looking like Aniston will help.
